  • Do you need help with claiming benefits?
  • What sort of support with breastfeeding is available for you locally, after your baby is born?
  • Who will be with you, aside from your midwife, when you are in labour?
  • If you are having a home birth, will you have someone in to provide practical support, so that your partner can give you his undivided attention?
  • If you have other children, who will look after their needs while you are in labour?
  • What support will you need after the birth, and who can provide it?  Do you need to make any preparations?
